Tormek T-3.
Tormek has marketed a smaller version of our machine in Europe for
many years. We have now significantly upgraded the features and
design of the small Tormek for the US market. You can see the
features of the T-3 at http://www.tormek.com/en/machines/t3/
. $379.00
In the USA the Tormek is well known among
woodworkers, but in Europe it is widely used for sharpening knives and
scissors in the food processing, leather and rubber industries.
While the Tormek wet grinder is sold as a complete system, for knife
sharpening I recommend using the Tormek to grind the correct bevels then
using paper wheelsor
an RS-150 Duo sharpener to hone and strop
the edge. This is much faster than using the Tormek leather strop
and takes advantage of the strong points of both systems.
"I am able
to get a razor edge with the Tormek and paper wheels in a fraction
of the time the Lansky took. I am very pleased with the
equipment." Stu
